The Congress is open to all economists, including those who are not now members of the Econometric Society. It is hoped that papers presented at the Congress will represent a broad spectrum of applied and theoretical economics and econometrics.

We encourage submissions of original work in all areas. Each person may only present one paper, however, each person is allowed to be the co-author of several papers presented. When submitting this
restriction must be taken into account (so that if all submissions are accepted each one will be presented by one co-author and no one person will present more than once). At least one co-author of any submitted paper must be a member of the Society or must join prior to submission. You may join the Econometric Society at http://www.econometricsociety.org. Limited travel funds will be available for those presenting papers; priority will be given to less-senior applicants.

Multiple submissions are allowed but only one presentation per person. Submissions will be accepted only in electronic form. They must consist of a single PDF file with a maximum size of 2MB. No other format will be accepted.

The deadline for submissions is February 8, 2010.

Decisions of papers should be ready by April 15, 2010.

All meeting rooms will have the following audio-visual facilities for your presentations:

All pieces of software including the Operating System, Microsoft Office and others are installed in English version.
•  Windows XP will be installed in each laptop
• Office 2007 will be installed in each laptop, so it is recommended that your work is finished in Office 2007. Files created in Office 2000 or 2003 or XP are compatible in Office 2007.
•  Adobe Acrobat 9.0 Professional will be installed, so you can also present your work in pdf files
•  Audio/Video Player: Real Player 11.0 will be installed.
•  Image Viewer: ACD See 2.5 will be installed.

•  Internet Access

•  Each laptop can get access to the Internet.

If you prefer to use your own laptop to run your presentation, please ensure you bring any necessary adapters, power packs and drives as we cannot guarantee to have spares. For more details about electricity and plugs, please refer to the Local Information on the website www.eswc2010.com.
