Highlights of the tour:
This morning, you will step into the true Shanghainess' life; our tour starts with a visit to the People's Square where local people do morning exercises such as playing Taichi, badminton or fan dancing. Then you will be guests to a new workers' residential area. You will visit local families, kindergartens and the local food market. At the noon time, you will be invited to prepare lunch together with a local housewife in her own home.

Yuyuan Garden: Yuyuan is a 400 year old classical garden that dates back to the Ming dynasty. It is a place of peace and bliss, a centre of quiet in the big busting cosmopolitan city of Shanghai.
City-God-Temple Bazaar: The well preserved old part of Shanghai, where cobbled streets are lined with traditional shops selling herbal medicines, handicrafts, Chinese tea and a variety of tantalizing snacks.

Suzhou is regarded by the Chinese as “a paradise on Earth”, it is renowned for its classical Chinese gardens.
Panmen Gate: The best preserved part of the ruins of the ancient city of Suzhou, with a long history of more than 2 500 years.
Garden of Humble Administration: The largest one of Suzhou's magnificent gardens, an artistic masterpiece of balance, harmony, proportion and variety, exemplifying the essence of a Chinese garden “infinite riches in a little room”.
Garden of Master of Net: The garden was built in the Song Dynasty. It is compa ctly laid out: halls in the east, rockeries, ponds, pavilions and verandahs in the middle and a study in the west.
Suzhou Silk Embroidery Institute:here you will see the intricate work involved in producing the region's double sided embroidery and the fascinating silk spinning process.

Aug 22: Shanghai-Beijing (Flight) (Lunch, Dinner):
This morning, you will be picked-up at the hotel and transferred to the airport of Shanghai, then, you will take a morning flight to Beijing, the capital city of China. In the afternoon, you will visit the magnificent Forbidden City, the vast complex of palaces and pavilions which was home to successive emperors for over 500 years, and our visit gives a real insight into the pampered isolation of their lifestyles. Take a leisurely stroll through Tiananmen Square, bordered by Mao's Mausoleum and the Great Hall of the People. For the dinner today, you will taste the famos Beijing Roast Duck.
Aug 23: Beijng (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner):
Drive north to a breathtaking section of the Great Wall, The Great Wall is the symbol of the Chinese nation, stretches 6,350 kilometers from Shanhaiguan Pass on the east coast to Jiayuguan Pass in the Gobi Desert. It is classified as a world Cultural Heritage. On the way back to the city, visit Ming tombs----the final resting place for many of China's emperors. After dinner today, you will enjoy a Peking Opera Show after dinner; Beijing Opera (or Peking Opera) has existed for over 200 years. It is widely regarded as the highest expression of the Chinese culture. It is known as one of the three main theatrical systems in the world.

Aug 24: Beijing (Breakfast, Lunch):
Morning visit to the Summer Palace, the largest and best preserved of all imperial palace gardens and which boasts such delights as the famous Marble Boat. Then go on the visit to the Temple of Heaven, a masterpiece of Ming architecture where Emperors performed annual sacrificial ritual for good harvests. Your tour to Beijing ends today.

Aug 22: Shanghai - Xian (Flight) (Lunch, Dinner):
This morning, you will be picked-up at the hotel and transferred to the airport of Shanghai, then, you will take a morning flight to Xian. You will start you tour in Xi'an with the grand mosque and the bustling, labyrinthine alleyways of the Muslim Quarter encircling the mosque. Then you will see the Drum and Bell Towers that were used to announce daybreak and night fall. At the end of the day, you will visit the 200-ft high Big Wild Goose Pagoda which was built in the 7th century at the centre of the Temple of Grace to house its treasures.
AOvernight stay in Xi'an at a four star hotel
Aug 23: Xian (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner):
Today will be a full day excursion to the Terracotta Warriors. The tomb of Qin Shi Huang is one of the greatest archaeological finds of the country. Guarding the burial place is a vast Terracotta Army of 7000 life-sized figures, individually crafted and completed with chariots and horses. Back to the city you will visit the imperial pleasure resort of Huaqing, with its mineral-rich hot springs that gush forth at 43 degrees centigrade. The nearby excavations of the Banpo Neolithic Village gives an extraordinarily vivid picture of life 4500 years BC by revealing the remains of dozens of houses, the cemetery and kilns.
